Commercial Finance Manager - Marketing

Reporting to the Head of Finance, we are seeking a Commercial Finance Manager - Marketing, to act as a true business-partner for key stakeholders within the organisation, providing financial analysis and reporting that will support good decision-making. This role will drive performance in terms of marketing spend effectiveness and the return on investment for marketing activities.

Key accountabilities for this role include:

• Evaluation of performance, forecasting and reporting and providing recommendations to stakeholders;
• Provision of financial support, modelling, analysis and insights for all aspects of the business including pre and post-project ROI, ensuring consistency with strategic objectives and challenging assumptions;
• Lead the Marketing related components of the annual business plan, including all recurring forecasting;
• Provision of on-time and accurate monthly, YTD and business reports to stakeholders and the Head of Finance in relation to advertising and promotional expenditure and the outcomes of marketing activity.

Key criteria for this role include:

• Tertiary qualification in Business or Commerce with a major in Accounting essential, CPA or CA would be beneficial;
• Solid experience in a similar role with proven success at building effective business relationships;
• Skilled negotiator with the ability to influence at all levels;
• A commercial mindset and positive, fresh-thinking attitude;
• Systems experience with either SAP, TM1 or COGNOS;
• Strong financial analysis, budget management and advanced spreadsheet skills;
• Consumer goods experience welcomed but not essential.
