We are looking for a Property/Client Accountant for a role in Central London working in a luxury development and management company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accounts for the clients and will be working as part of a small finance team, liaising with the sales, marketing and surveying teams. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has previous experience working in a Property company looking to take the next step in their career.
Client Details
The client are a luxury development and management organisation who specialise in the prime locations within London including Mayfair, Chelsea, Sloane Square and Knightsbridge. They have a specialist team who carry out the developments from the outset, including designing and building. They also have a team dedicated to managing their clients' property portfolio, the interior design and project management of any refurbishments.
Description
The role will involve:
- Preparing monthly management accounts including P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
- Quarterly rent & service charge
- Tenant reconciliations and direct recharges
- Month end procedures (reconciling rent deposits and bank accounts)
- Year end service charge reconciliations
- Audit process and final demands
- Liaising with surveyors, sales and marketing as well as external accounts
- Submit quarterly VAT returns
- Producing monthly cash flow
Profile
To be successful, you will need to:
- Have a minimum of 1-2 years experience working with a Property company
- Have 3-5 years experience working within a similar finance/accounting role
- Be highly competent with Sage 50, QUBE or similar accounting softwares
- Have a can-do attitude and a positive outlook
- Be a good communicator (written and verbal)
- Be confident and able to liaise with external and internal stakeholders
Job Offer
This is 6 month temporary role for a Property Accountant based in Central London. Upon successful completion of the 6 month role, there is potential for this role to be made permanent as the company is currently growing.
The initial salary would be £18-22 per hour dependent on experience, and if the role were to go permanent the salary would be between £38,000-£42,000 per annum.
