Our FAAS team is looking for a Luxembourg Global Compliance and Reporting Assistant Manager to join their team. Working with the newly formed Centre of Excellence (COE) team within FAAS, this group of specialists deliver innovative and practical solutions to global organisations as they navigate complex global compliance environments and address the increasing challenges faced by their accounting and finance functions. Working on this global scale, our FAAS team must be able to respond quickly to fast moving business processes and timelines - whether assisting with advice related to transactions or working to tight financial close deadlines. Main responsibilities: • contribute to the strategy and growth of this international and rapidly expanding team; • lead teams in the execution and delivery of international compliance projects with a particular focus on Luxembourg accounting and tax projects; • develop project plans to manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring quality and timely delivery of all projects within budget; • develop and deliver technical accounting papers and training material for both clients and other team members; • maintain current knowledge of international accounting and tax developments and regulation to guide and advise our clients; • assist in maintaining and building key client relationships locally and internationally; and • mentor and develop team and contribute to the overall expansion of the team. Skills and attributes: • qualified accountant with a strong knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP; • strong technical skills and in depth understanding of Italian accounting and tax matters with the ability to prepare Luxembourg GAAP financial statements and tax filings; • strong communicator and fluent French speaker - other European languages a benefit; • motivated self-starter with the desire to join a fast-paced and entrepreneurial team; • previous experience of working with MNC's an advantage but not a requirement, this could be in an industry or practice setting; • desire to broaden international experience through working on projects with and advising companies across a number of jurisdictions in EMEA, APAC and Americas; • ability to manage teams while on assignment; • commercial/business awareness; and • a passion for client service.
