Financial Accountant (Global Business)

Our client is a leading global business with substantive operations n Cork across all aspects of their global supply chain. The finance department has a number of corporate and statutory accounting responsibilities. The team is responsible for the end to end Local GAAP reporting activities and a number of the quarterly US GAAP related activities. The Financial Accountant will assist with coordinating the statutory audits within their assigned entities, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of audits and maintaining of Local GAAP ledgers. "We have a strong track record of hiring practice trained accountants and facilitating their transition to financial accounting in industry - this person will be supported by others who have gone before them, which will make the move more enjoyable and more successful for everyone involved" - Finance Manager The financial accountant will also act as a point of contact for all statutory reporting related technical queries for their assigned entities from within the team as well as from other stakeholders. This role will involve, but is not limited to the following responsibilities: Co-ordinate external audits within assigned entities. Preparation of Financial Statements in line with Local GAAP Analyse US GAAP trial balance on a quarterly basis Provide quarterly reporting pack to the financial controllers of the various entities Business partner with key stakeholders in the assigned entities Act as a point of contact for all statutory related technical queries Process improvement activities to ensure the efficient and cost effective operation of the team The ideal person will be/have: Recently qualified accountant (Big 4 or Top 10 trained) Exposure to large multinational audit will help this person transition from practice to industry Ability to work to tight deadlines in a busy and challenging environment Working across all business types, but exclusively within the accounting, finance & tax community, Barden exists to share bespoke advice, guidance and support to professionals along each step of their career journey.
