Management Accountant

A new Management Accounting opportunity has arisen within a Manchester based leading Retail business as a result of an internal promotion. The role will be taking ownership of the Management Accounts for a division of the business and will involve lots of Project and Business Partnering work.

My client are a well-known retailer based in the Manchester area who have undergone significant growth over the last 5 years due to an aggressive acquisition strategy. The business have undergone lots of change recently and are looking to bring in new entrepreneurial minded individuals to strengthen their finance team.

Description

The role will involve but is not limited to:

• Timely and accurate production of Management Accounts for a division of the business

• Providing variance analysis and using own initiative to identify areas of improvement

• Highlighting cost saving opportunities to a variation of internal stakeholders

• Working on a number of different ad hoc projects

• Effective Management of an Assistant Accountant

Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• A full ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified

• At least 12 months hands on Management Accounts experience

• Excellent communication and relationship building skills

• Ambition to progress within a fast paced Retail environment

• Experience of dealing with a number of different internal stakeholders

Job Offer

The position will pay in the region of £35,000-40,000 dependant upon experience and offers a competitive benefits package.
