Financial Controller

Financial Controller - Mayo (12 month contract) Financial Controller wanted for a 12 month contract in Mayo. The client is an established Civil Engineering company with projects throughout Ireland. Role involves working as part of the senior management team to drive the business forward while managing the finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience dealing with Quantity Surveyors / Site Managers. Roles / Responsibilities Reporting to the owners on the financial performance of the Group ensuring the financial budgets and operational targets are achieved. Manage a finance team which includes financial reporting, payroll, AP & AR, Credit Control Developing and improving the procedures and processes across the finance department. Update, review and improve the MI (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly) reporting across the group. Preparation of financial accounts for various entities to specified reporting deadlines Completion of all statutory returns in an accurate and timely manner Supervision of invoicing and reporting of same to ensure accuracy Supervision of the accounts payable function Preparation of profit and loss reporting and analysis of the applicable balance sheets Preparation of budgeting and cash flow forecasting Completion of month end and quarter end account reconciliations Regular liaison with relevant colleagues to ensure accurate accounting Education / Requirements: Financial Controller / Head of Finance with significant commercial experience from working in the construction / engineering sectors.
