As a global precision engineering organisation, my client has successful operations in most countries. Their footprint in the UK is both well-established and expanding. A recent acquisition and on-going integration in to the group in Leicestershire, has given rise to this exciting, challenging and highly involved role.

As the successful candidate, you will play a crucial role, ensuring financial understanding of the factory operations and its associated costs at all levels. Acting as a genuine 'hub' for financial awareness, you will interact with; production, purchasing, planning, stock control, engineering & your colleagues in finance.

Enjoying significant autonomy and responsibility, you will initially ensure accuracy and control of; product costs, standard costs, variances, scrap analysis, accruals, prepayments and management reports. Thereafter, you will work closely with purchasing, to conduct full cost analyses and review for; materials, trials, standard timings / costs and process. The role will include; overhead review with cost centre managers and subsequent reporting, as well as end-to-end financial aspects of stock takes.

Working closely and regularly with senior management, you will update and manage the accuracy of the reporting systems across the site.

As the ideal candidate, you will already be a seasoned management accountant, having learned your trade in busy, multi-product manufacturing plants, where complex and variable parameters are normal. You will be; CIMA, ACCA, ACA, ICAEW, FCA, ACMA, CGMA and capable of and passionate about making improvements in the areas mentioned above.

Essential to your success will be;

• an expert understanding of your tools, namely; Excel, ERP, & MRP
