Scope of Role:

To provide independent assurance of compliance to internal and external obligations through an effective audit framework, and execute country or group level audits.

Key Responsibilities/Challenges:

1. At the direction of Senior Audit Manager, attend various meetings in order to better understand issues.

2. Follow up the closure of audit issues.

3. Keep the senior managers and key stakeholders apprised of significant risks as they are identified.

4. Ensure that local, regulatory and Board audit requirements are met through audits that are conducted in accordance with an agreed methodology.

5. Escalates delayed or stalled findings where necessary.

6. Execute Audits in accordance with an agreed Audit Plan and to an agreed methodology.

7. Provide business stakeholders with a clear understanding of areas of control weakness and where possible suggestions on how to rectify.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. University graduates. Solid experience in an audit environment or in the banking industry.

2. Ability to collect and objectively analyze and apply information, thinking out of the box where necessary, in supporting the planning, fieldwork or reporting of results of internal audit engagements.

3. Responds enthusiastically to tasks allocated, accepts responsibility readily and demonstrates business professionalism in personal appearance.

4. Well-organised with the ability to priorities and plan workload to ensure delivery to timescales.

5. Ability to work in a team.

6. Flexibility to work across different functions and situations globally, and change priorities at short notice.

7. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing in English and Chinese.

8. Professional audit certification is preferred.
