A growing Charitable organisation based in the heart of Watford are seeking a Finance Administrator to join them on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly Finance team and a charity who are involved with a great cause. The basis of this role will be data entry and invoice posting, however offers a lot of training and progression within the role. The company are offering a starting salary of £18,000 - £21,000 with great benefits attached and the chance to learn and progress. You will be given full study support also.

Client Details

My client are an award winning charity who are going through a period of growth and opening new stores and centres across the UK. With a head office based in Watford you will be part of a small and friendly Finance team who are happy to offer you training and progression within the company. You will report into a hard working Finance Manager and be responsible for posting invoices, preparing payment runs, reconcile supplier statements and much more. This is an entry level Finance position so they are seeking either a candidate with experience, or someone who is keen to progress a career within Finance.

Description

  • Reporting into a hands on Finance Manager Posting of invoices, petty cash
  • Use of Sage Line 50 accounting software
  • Checking purchase orders to invoices and credit card statements
  • Preparing monthly supplier statement runs
  • Weekly banking of cheques
  • Analysing expense accounts on Microsoft excel
  • Preparing sales invoices and chasing non payments
  • Answering the phones when required
  • General administration
  • Processing donations and sponsorship income
  • Producing reports
  • Maintaining records and general data entry
  • Profile

    • A candidate who is looking to progress within a Finance based role
    • Good communication skills are essential, clear telephone manner
    • The ability to multi task and work well as part of a team
    • Happy working in a small finance team
    • A car driver is essential
    • Proficiency with Sage is highly advantageous
    • Must be able to use Excel (spread sheets)
    • Happy working in non corporate/laid back environment
