Exclusive to Michael Page - We are recruiting a brand new Head of Finance position for a client based in West Kent. You will work closely with the chief executive and leadership team, and will take a hands on role to the production and reporting of the accounts. Client Details Our client is a leading specialist international business services organisation based in West Kent. They partner with some of the world's leading businesses as well as with independent customers. They are now embarking on a 5 year plan and are offering the right candidate a chance to help their growth and development in this key period of change. Description The Head of Finance will take full responsibility for leading the small Finance function, ensuring all statutory requirements are met whilst taking overall responsibility for all financial aspects of company strategy. This will include optimising the company's financial performance and strategic position, as well as providing support to the Payroll and HR functions for the business. In more detail the role will include: Supporting the CEO to optimise financial performance and strategic position. Contributing to development and delivery of company strategy. Providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers aimed at achieving growth. Managing month end, closing ledgers and ensuring the accuracy of data. Balance sheet reconciliations including maintaining schedules for prepayments. Production of monthly management accounts including full P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, with associated reports and commentary. Manage relationship with banks, legal representatives, auditors and other external partners and advisors. Preparation and management of year-end statutory accounts, and leading audit process. Ensure regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met and that systems are robust enough to support current and future activity. Managing one staff who looks after Sales and Purchase Ledgers Documenting and developing business processes Preparation of budgets, financial forecasts and report variances Managing outsourced payroll process Profile The ideal candidate for this Head of Finance role will be fully qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), and comfortable working in a hands on position. You will also be strategic in your approach, commercially astute and have strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to influence at a strategic and operational level. Ideally you will have experience of delivering change within an SME environment, as well as providing commercial and financial analysis in order to aid decision making. You will have a positive outlook, coupled with the drive to contribute quickly to the culture and values of the business. Job Offer Package of up to £65,000 + excellent pension contribution
