In the role of Deputy Finance Director you will be responsible in driving the business forward, providing assistance to key decision making, driving revenue initiatives and investment appraisals and providing overall financial support to commercial decision making. The role is reporting to Finance Director and would be closely interacting with Chief Executive & Managing Director

As a Deputy Finance Director you will be responsible for;

·Ensuring excellent relationships are maintained with key business customers as well as with Group Finance and Shared Service teams

·Assess and review the monthly management accounts to ensure accuracy and any variances against budget

·Achieving the targeted financial plan by providing income analysis to ensure revenue targets are achieved as well as insight into profitability improvement including cost controls.

·Providing high value decision making support to the business through in depth knowledge and understanding of the business.

·Presenting results of work completed to a high standard within Finance and to the wider business

·Preparing the annual budget and ad-hoc forecasts together with relevant business owners.

·Providing decision making support to critical initiatives and investment projects and help delivery of through analysis and idea generation.

·Supporting the Statutory audit as required

·Ensuring the EQ Boardroom Finance team adds optimal value through supporting the team and providing a high level of engagement and commitment to the business.

As a successful person you will possess;

·Strong finance experience with proven analytical, organisational and problems solving skills.

·Demonstrates excellent relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.

·Interprets financial information to identify profitability drivers and other factors impacting business performance.

·Highly motivated and productive and seeks additional opportunities along with who is compelling and has impact, creates a credible impression.

·Demonstrates strong modeling and PC skills including proven proficiency in the use of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Agresso.

·Has demonstrated high levels of personal accountability and flexibility to prioritise and meet deadlines.

·Proven experience of delivery results over a sustained period in a challenging environment

·Ideally hold a recognised finance qualification, ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
