We are looking for a Head of Finance who will not just bring excellence in their work but also a strong desire to contribute to our vision and mission.

At InterHealth we are passionate about supporting the health and wellbeing of those who are working to make the world a better place. Founded on Christian principles, we support over 25,000 people working for over 600 organisations based in the UK and around the world. We have two centres, one in London, UK and one in Nairobi, Kenya.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to lead an able and committed finance team. You will be a qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) accountant and be talented in the use of MS Office and a full range of accountancy software (InterHealth uses Sage 50).

The role of the Finance Department is to provide a complete finance service to the whole of InterHealth, addressing all issues of a finance nature and providing all relevant information to meet external demands. These services may include, but are not limited to, monthly reporting, budgetary control, forecasting, cash management, financial advice, income management, financial reporting to external bodies, annual accounts preparation, debt management, payroll & pension services.

Having gained sound experience in the commercial and service sectors you may also have experience gained in a private medical practice and ideally some understanding of the reporting requirements for a UK charity.

You will be a good communicator who enjoys working collaboratively within a team whilst also being capable of working independently and using your own initiative. A coaching style of line management with an interest in the development of a talented team would be highly desirable.

Your experience and skills will enable you to take full responsibility of all the day to day, monthly and annual financial function of the organisation.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate financial matters to non-financial colleagues. You will have strong analytical and problem solving skills and work with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. As InterHealth grows there will be changes so you will thrive on a new challenge, be flexible and quick to learn new skills. We also operate as a business so you will be commercially aware.

You will be a team player and enjoy supporting and mentoring your team who are keen to develop in their careers.
