Management Accountant

A leading Investment Manager located in the West End is currently looking for an experienced accountant to join their growing Finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified candidate looking to move into industry from practice or an individual looking to build on their finance experience within an international firm.

The Management Accountant is responsible for preparing, developing and analyzing key financial information to ensure that the Company's management makes well-informed decisions to ensure future stability, growth and profitability. Maintaining financial policies and management information systems, as well as provide a high quality support service to colleagues on all aspects of finance.

Responsibilities:

* Preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, budgets, cash flows, and variance analysis;
* Providing a support service by working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions;
* Advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions;
* Analysing financial performance and contributing to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts;
* Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers;
* Liaising with other function managers to put the finances and accounts in context;
* Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed;
* Review the weekly payment run to ensure invoices/expenses have been appropriately authorized.
* Calculate and pay the Quarterly Introducer payments, following review and authorization with the relevant Sales team. Ensure that the Agreements, and appropriate paperwork is in place to enable payment of the Introducer fee.
* Liaise with the auditors to ensure the timely completion of the annual audit

Experience/skills required: (Technical and practical)

* Qualified or Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
* Commercial awareness and a high level of numeracy.
* Ability to explain complex financial information in a clear way.
* Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels including non-finance members of staff.
* Organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
