SVP Chief Financial Officer - Utilities Ind. experience essential Reporting to CEO Location: Saudi Arabia Salary: €350-400K + 30-40% benefits Our client, a central utilities provider in KSA is seeking to hire a Senior Executive VP for Finance. NB: Utilities background is essential. Role Purpose: To manage the financial control framework that must be followed by all business areas, to take responsibility for all financial information provided internally and externally and, to give guidance on, and approval to, the interpretation of accounting standards and policies. Staff & Division Management Direct Staff including Finance & Treasury: around 20 • Operating Budget: medium SR 7 figure, primarily staff costs • Treasury: negotiating SR 9 figure loans • Financial Management of our client's assets, income and revenue (SR med-high 10 figure) • Also responsible for functional performance of the Finance and Accounting Departments in Functional SBU's Accountabilities: Contributes as a member of the Executive team to the development and refining of the vision, and strategy for our client, and contributes to the overall process of management and corporate decision making to ensure the organisation maximises its short, medium and long term profitability and returns to its shareholders. Manages the financial team, providing leadership, encouraging teamwork and facilitating the amalgamation process in order to achieve high performance standards and staff pride in the execution of financial tasks. Exercises financial authority to the level delegated by the Board of Directors. Rationalises, implements and seeks continual improvement to comprehensive and effective systems of financial control, fully utilising our client's information system capabilities to facilitate the handling of its commercial operations and support activities. Directs the preparation of financial accounts, detailed budgets and financial plans on a composite and unitary basis for approval and distributes to all departments throughout the organisation. Reviews and reports to the CEO on progress. Directs the treasury function in delivering effective liquidity and cash management services, insurance coverage, management of our client's funding and financial investments, in order to influence and limit their financial exposure and to impact positively on results. Selects, develops and motivates personnel with the specific objectives of increasing departmental expertise and ensuring potential for advancement is identified. Develops effective shareholder relationships, maintains the shareholder's register and ensures all commitments are honoured in order to build shareholder confidence. Requirements : Degree qualified in related field + 18 years' experience in corporate private sector in a range of senior finance positions covering accounting, management accounting, risk management and treasury together with exposure to large-scale project based activities OR Master Degree in related field with 16 years' experience. Demonstration of specific competencies is essential to include very well developed skills in ‘Leadership', Impact and Influence', ‘Commercial Acumen', ‘Seeing the Big Picture', ‘Empowerment', ‘Achievement Drive', ‘Decisiveness/ Judgement' and ‘Developing Others'.
