AP Senior, Accounts Payable, AP Team Senior, Purchase Ledger job in Belfast, Permanent Job Your new company This well known commercial business based in Belfast are working with Hays to recruit for a brand new position within their AP Team in Finance. Your new role This role will allow the post holder to work in a technical capacity within a fast paced Accounts Payable environment and take on the following duties: - Be the Subject Matter Expert on the processes and procedures regarding the end to end process within the Payables department. - Manage their section of accounts including a number of key accounts and deal with any relevant queries - Ensure all payment runs are generated and executed timely and accurately within the agreed timescales and relevant payment terms. - Be that first point of escalation in relation to: Vendor Contact through all relevant means Invoices are processed ensuring full utilisation and compliance All Invoice and payment queries Statement reconciliations which includes intercompany and debit balances Ensure all agreed controls are maintained around the payment process and concerns alerted to Team Lead and/or Manager of any irregular requests To work closely with internal teams and vendors to ensure GRIR queried items are actioned, authorised and processed quickly and accurately To ensure the smooth running of AP month end close off What you'll need to succeed Essential 2+ years working in a senior level capacity of an AP department Strong IT and systems skills (Oracle / SAP and excel experience is an advantage) Excellent track record of working in a fast moving and complex environment Communicate with people at all levels both internally and externally Flexible and adaptable Ability to work in a dynamic environment Great attention to detail and work to tight deadlines Team Player What you'll get in return You will join a warm established team and have the opportunity to make this role your own.
