Accountant - Retail

A successful Irish retail business is seeking a qualified accountant to join the finance team, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. This person should have a positive and proactive attitude and be a strong team player. Key Responsibilities Responsibility of general ledger (GL) duties including GL postings GL account reconciliation Bank Reconciliations and postings Responsibility for Fixed Assets Review of expenses and variance analysis Working with other Accountants to ensure an accurate general ledger Group reporting tasks General ad hoc Finance projects Preparation of statutory accounts Project on the reduction of legal entities AP reconciliations for 2 major accounts Any other projects and duties where they arise The ideal person: Recently qualified ACA/ACCA GL experience would be an advantage Proven ability to think analytically and to work to deadlines Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage Good Excel skills required Will consistently live the Company values and work well within a team Ability to step outside the role when required and get involved with any projects that arise Working across all business types, but exclusively within the accounting, finance & tax community, Barden exists to share bespoke advice, guidance and support to accountants along each step of their career journey.
