Accountant

A family business of a leading PET manufacturing company in Oman is
looking to hire an accountant for their production operation.

Accountant Job Duties:

• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Guides production staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
• Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
• Complies with local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
• Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
• Accomplishes the result by performing the duty.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Performs inventory on a monthly basis and compiles results for management

Qualifications:

• Fresh graduate of BA/BSc, preferably 4 years in Accounts or relevant field,
• must have passed 6 exams of ACCA, and be willing to complete remaining 6 in two years
• excellent English and Urdu (written and spoken) communication skills
• spoken Arabic a big asset

Compensation:

Visa, accommodation, company car upon obtaining Omani driver license,
Family visa possible after initial 2 year contract, salary of OMR 200, with
increments tied to career goals of driving license and passing ACCA
certification, return ticket to Pakistan every two years with 60 days vacation
