**Your opportunity**

**We are looking for a highly skilled Finance professional to join our team of Financial Controllers.** Working closely with the Business and our Business Finance team, you will gain a high level of understanding of opportunities and challenges within the business in order to deliver effective financial controls and technical advice, to strengthen the internal financial control environment and enable better decision making. For the role to be effective you will need to build strong relationships with all stakeholders based on trust and impact.

**Your role**

Ownership of month-end close for your service line with a focus on timely and accurate reporting

*

Key point of contact for the your business to support embedding of compliance with technical accounting standards (e.g. IFRS 15 revenue recognition) and internal finance controls on an ongoing basis

*

Owning key processes and standards across Financial Control to drive ongoing improvement and consistent best practice

*

Challenge the business, investigate and resolve issues, with particular ownership of the Balance Sheet

*

Lead on balance sheet reporting, reconciliation and issue resolution

*

Develop trust and build strong relationships with practitioners, and be a key point of contact on financial control matters

*

Assess and mitigate financial risk to promote a risk intelligent culture

*

Workeffectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

**Your professional experience**

*

Qualified in a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

*

Demonstrates a strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in their work

*

Ability to work calmly and efficently under deadline pressures, e.g. month-end, year-end

*

Strong technical, problem solving and analytical skills

*

Ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment as well as work independently with self-direction

*

Experience in a financial controller role or similar is preferred but not essential

*

Experience of working in a professional services organisation is preferred but not
