Delivering high-quality research and analysis to investors around the world, the Global
Research team covers economics, currencies, equities, fixed income and climate change to help our clients best navigate and make sense of turbulent global financial markets. Global Research offers fundamental, cross-asset, technical and quantitative analysis presented through multiple platforms and formats.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Research Associate, Analyst Marketing.

Principal responsibilities
  • Maximize monetization opportunities of Global Research products and services across all stakeholders and clients in a commercial and compliant way with special focus on the global and Asian products
  • Work closely with analysts and Global Investor Access groups to improve monetization and relationships with top accounts across equities and Fixed Income
  • Devise and launch marketing programs to improve stakeholder relationships and usage of Global Research products and services, including subscriptions
  • Mandatory participation on Asian Product Review Committee PRC with mandate to enhance commercial standing of published products
  • Devise and execute marketing campaigns for key Asian and global sector equity themes published from the region and follow up with the Research Marketing team to identify key reports that warrant additional focus
  • Work with analysts to improve products' commercial voice and organize calls, teach ins, morning meeting presentations, analyst marketing, and conference panels
  • Foster strong collaboration and teamwork across research marketing team to ensure consistency of approach, activities and execution
  • Lead, develop and motivate the leadership team to attract, retain and develop the capacity, capability and talent to provide for succession and ensure delivery of business objectives
  • Manage the processes, infrastructure and resources needed to deliver agreed team plans and targets, identifying and implementing improvements and collaborating with colleagues to maximise end to end integration, effectiveness and efficiency
  • Maintain a robust and efficient control environment to ensure good operational, financial and project management and compliance with HSBC policy and procedures, together with early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience gained in a Research or Sales environment
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, relevant terminology, and investment strategies
  • Exceptional organization skills with track record of hosting events, functions, seminars
  • Experience in revenue generation and process improvement
  • Excellent relationship management skills and a history of working with stakeholders across different regions
  • Very strong presentation skills and ability to deliver ideas to stakeholders using well developed communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Excellent leadership skills, ability to think independently in a strategic manner, and go beyond what is asked
  • Hardworking with the highest level of integrity and a superior work ethic
  • Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity, handle difficult situations and conflicts effortlessly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
