Commercial Accountant

The Role Hain Daniels are recruiting for a Commercial Accountant who will be based at our Corby site but will need to also travel to the site in Gateshead. At these fruit factories we produce freshly prepared fruit, freshly squeezed juices and smoothies, fresh fruit patisserie and fruit jellies for the retail channel. The role will report into the Head of Finance and is Responsible for providing financial analysis to support development and delivery of; management reporting, financial business plans, new products, services and change programmes. Key Responsibilities - Provide analysis of monthly results to enable management to understand business performance, risks and opportunities and areas of under/ over performance, including; activity, expenditure, trends, bench-marking and variations to planned levels - Provide analytical support for customer bids, product development and business change initiatives, testing assumptions and identifying key sensitivities - Provide analysis to support the on-going financial planning processes identify and testing appropriate assumptions. - Business partnering with the commercial department to ensure delivery of timely information on financial performance, risks and opportunities - Develop successful working relationships across the business and wider finance team, which promote trust and confidence in the ability of the finance department to provide high quality information and analysis - Work collaboratively with other members of the finance team to ensure consistency of process and approach on all financial matters. What you will need for the role / what it will take - Min Part Qualified Accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA or QBE - Problem solving and analysis - Creativity and innovation - Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook - Intermediate level - Microsoft Excel - Advanced. Technical knowledge required, knowledge of macros would be an advantage. - Food Manufacturing experience with exposure to retail customers would be an advantage.
