Financial Controller (Real Estate PE Operating Company)

This role will be instrumental in the growth of the company, with the individual having the opportunity to build a team and establish a group finance function. There will be excellent opportunities for growth and progression as the business grows and there will also be involvement in high level commercial activities in the future, working closely with the Group CFO.

The Controller will manage, review, and participate in the entire group operations and reporting process such as:

Review and assist in Monthly and Quarterly Management Accounts & Annual Financial Statements Manage any external audit and tax reporting processes Improving and maintaining accounting policies and procedures across the business, ensuring compliance Oversee and manage third-party administrators and corporate services providers Analyse group financial data and operating metrics for presentation to senior management, investors and stakeholders Prepare or review business plan information which includes forecasted and projected financials, strategic initiatives and industry cycle overview Build and maintain operating and capital project budgets for site level teams in cooperation with Operations and Capital Projects teams Assist in developing corporate capitalisation strategies

Requirements:

Significant accounting experience, with a mix of practice / industry preferred Background in Real Estate funds or in private equity backed businesses would be advantageous Ability to design financial processes and controls Chartered Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) Ability to design financial processes and controls Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Strong written and verbal communication skills Team oriented with good coaching skills Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative Good process management skills
