One of the UK`s leading providers of affordable housing and care and support services is looking to appoint a Finance Director to work closely with their Chief Financial Officer. The organisation employs over 1,500 people and serves thousands of customers across London and the South.
This is a relatively new role within the Finance team, and is therefore a rare opportunity to influence and truly help shape the direction, team culture, and their way of working.
Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing decision support to Customer Services, Property and Central Services Executive Directors, giving appropriate advice on, and challenge to, relevant business decisions based on professional review and analysis of financial and contextual data
- Developing a value-add business partnering service across the organisation
- Working with the Finance and Procurement Senior Leadership team to define and promote appropriate service delivery standards across the Financial Services team
- Providing effective leadership, being performance and empowering your team to deliver
Profile
You must be a Qualified Accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience in managing business partnering and management accounting functions in a forward looking business. The right candidate will be a strong and inspiring leader, who will have experience running a sizeable team and possess strong communication skills. Previous experience producing high quality management information and understanding 'what good looks like' are also key attributes for making this role a success.
Previous experience operating in the social housing sector is not essential however you must have an empathy with the sector. This is a genuine opportunity for an individual to be more involved in the strategic running of a business and to broaden their experience and skill set; this is a great role for a future Chief Financial Officer.
