Financial Advisory (FA) practice of Deloitte China provides strategic and financial advisory services to clients throughout all phases of the economic cycle. FA comprises several distinct but related global service lines whose shared principal objective is the creation and enhancement of shareholder and stakeholder value. Restructuring Services assist financial and corporate investors in assessing investment opportunities and providing professional advisory services to support them in making effective and timely business and investment decisions concerning their outbound, inbound or domestic M&A transactions.

Work You'll do:

  • Help client evaluate capital options and assist with stakeholder negotiations to help stabilize a client's financial position
  • Develop and guide client through implementation of financial and operational turnaround plans with clear objectives and actions
  • Apply expert knowledge of enforcement procedures, combined with deep situational experience across the industry, to provide strategic contingency planning and insolvency advice
  • Advise clients (e.g., holders, buyers and sellers) in developing portfolio management and investment strategies
  • Help client make confident decisions based on analyse of available information to manage critical business threats
  • Develop an effective plan by assessing the financial implication of risks faced by clients
  • Lead engagements and provides strategic direction to the team to deliver a superior client experience
  • Develop relationships, establishes credibility with and instill confidence in clients
  • Comprehend how client's business works and keep up-to-date on industry/sector trends and leading practices
  • Actively manage the Firm's risk from take-on through to completion of engagements

  • Bachelor degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management or related disciplines
  • Holder of CICPA, HKICPA, ACCA or similar professional accounting qualification
  • More than 8 years' relevant experience in reputable firm
  • In-depth understanding of corporate recovery, restructuring, financial reviews, insolvency, exit strategy, liquidation, receivership and bankruptcy services
  • Solid knowledge and experience in financial analysis, transaction services, sell side advisory and distressed asset disposal is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skill with high commitment to quality client service
  • Strong consultation and communication skills, self-initiation, good team player and willingness to work under pressure
  • Mature, proactive and committed
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership and business development skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese, including both technical and business writing, good documentation and presentation skills
  • Willing to travel
