Group Accountant

Our client is a large business services company based in Cardiff is looking for a financial accountant due to a period of growth and a recent promotion. Client Details Our client is a large business services company based in Cardiff Description Key Duties and Responsibilities: - Review and process financial returns from the Group. - Lead the Group's monthly IFRS consolidation process including management of the Group's consolidation software and co-ordination of data inputs and delivery of key outputs to relevant stakeholders. - Take a lead role in the delivery of monthly and annual, statutory and management reporting for the Group and its insurance entities. - Manage the Group's inter-company reporting processes including the delivery of monthly statements and full reconciliation of all accounts. - Keep abreast of developments in IFRS reporting requirements applicable to the Group and its subsidiaries. - Support the analysis of the impact, and subsequent implementation of new IFRS accounting standards on Group and subsidiary IFRS reporting. -Develop and maintain good working relationships with the local finance teams across the Group. -Provide additional general support and complete ad-hoc tasks as required by finance department managers. Profile Qualifications, Skills and Experience: - Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with a minimum of two years post qualified experience - Previous experience of IFRS reporting (either from a practice or industry perspective) - Previous financial services experience preferable - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Excellent IT skills, including excel, word, PowerPoint and ability to adapt to new software - Strong task-management skills including an ability to balance ad-hoc tasks with regular reporting requirements Job Offer Upto £35,000 plus exceptional benefits worth upto £15,000 per year
