The head of accounts will be responsible for supervising, tracking and evaluating day-to-day accounting activities, and establish financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analysing, verifying and reporting financial information.

My client specialise in metals Manufacturing; they are part of a wider global Group and were established in the mid-60s. They are currently in over 40 countries in the world and are a multi-million pound turnover business.

Description

The successful candidate for the Doncaster based role for Head of Finance would be responsible for the following;

• Performance of accounting entries and reconciliations

• Credit Control and Risk Management

• Sales and production reporting

• Payroll accounting

• Accruals and Fixed Assets

• Supporting on VAT, intrastate and corporation tax returns

• Cash and Bank Management

• Accounts receivable and cash in transit

• Review of the P&L identifying areas for cost savings

• Preparing the year end Audit packs and liaising with external auditors

• Support Corporate Financial Controller in annual forecasting and budgeting

• Developing Action Plans and driving through to cost savings

Profile

The successful candidate should possess the following;

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified

• Degree educated or equivalent

• Strong understanding of financial profit and loss statements

• Experienced in creating reports and performing financial analysis

• Advanced Excel Skills

• Strong analytical skills
