Due to an increase in workload, my client is looking to recruit a Temporary Financial Accountant initially on a 3 - 6 month contract with potential for extension.

My client is a large complex organisation based near Cardiff.

Description

Our client is recruiting an experienced, qualified financial accountant to assist on an initial 3 - 6 month assignment.

Duties will include;

  • Completion of supplementary year end returns.
  • Consolidation of year end returns.
  • Preparation and completion of working papers for the external auditors to support the year end accounts.
  • Assistance with the preparation and completion of the year end accounting template.
  • Adhering to the yearend deadlines and timetable.
  • Assistance with the calculation of the bad debt provision to be in line with IFRS 9.
  • Review of stock take schedule to ensure completeness and in readiness of journal.
  • Provide support and analysis from Oracle and Qlikview.
  • Set up of excel templates to calculate IFRS 9 and the calculation of the doubtful debt provision.
  • Preparation and completion of the charitable accounts for the external auditors.
  • Assist with the monthly PANISU and NEST reconciliations ensuring the correct payment is made.
  • Providing cover where necessary for the finance department until new employees start their role.
  • Completion of Table B and providing information to the Head of Finance for their review and inclusion within the Monitoring Returns.
  • Set up more automated excel calculations to enable the reporting to be completed more efficiently so more time can be spent on other tasks

Profile

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant and hold either ACA, ACCA CIMA or CIPFA qualifications

You will have excellent Financial Accounting skills.

You will have assisted or lead on year end accounts production.

You will operate at a high level on excel.

Job Offer

An inital 3 - 6 month temporary assignment.

There is potential that this role will be extended or can go perm.

Salary c£20 - £25 per hour
