Client Details

A NHS organisation in Nottingham are looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Manager to oversee the alignment of several organisations.

Description

NHS organisation in Nottingham -Senior Financial Reporting Manager Key- responsibilities Will include:

  • Provide expert financial advice and support to the contracting team in the Service
    Level Agreement (SLA) negotiations process taking a lead role for all Co-Commissioning and Primary Care Services and Prescribing.
  • Provide expert financial advice and support to the directors on their
    corporate budgets, including financial advice, and reporting for the support
    functions.
  • Contribute to all aspects of contract negotiation, monitoring and QIPP supporting
    the seniors as required at internal and external meetings
  • Liaise with other commissioners to ensure they are aware of any agreed or proposed
    Contract Variations (CVs) and the current and forecast recurrent and non-recurrent
    contract positions at the start of the financial year and at each month end
  • Provide a monthly analysis of SLA recurrent and non-recurrent year to date and
    forecast outturn positions for reporting General Ledger financial
    systems, and for updating the financial planning model, supported by detailed
    analysis and suggested corrective actions in conjunction with the contracting and
    information teams ensuring that both systems accurately reflects the ongoing
    financial position at all times
  • Manage and train staff

Profile

You will also:

  • Demonstrate a willingness to work positively within a team to achieve team goals and excellence in service delivery
  • Demonstrate creative and innovate leadership in line with Corporate responsibility principles
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivelant accountancy qualification
  • desirable: have relevant NHS experience
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal
  • A positive proactive approach to continuous improvement
  • Experience of managing a team
  • An ability to work under pressure and to cope with change
