My Client currently have vacancies for qualified Audit/SME Seniors within their Blackburn office.
The overall purpose of this role is to supervise a team on auditing, assurance and accounts preparation assignments for a variety of clients, ranging across SMEs, large businesses, and public sector entities.
Responsibilities:
Working with a diverse portfolio of clients across both audit and non-audit assignments in both the public and private sector. Planning assignments and identifying necessary resources and key risk areas. Delivering high quality and technically compliant working papers. Undertaking client and office based assignments. Ensuring the timely completion of assignments. Supervising and managing trainee accountants and assisting with their development. Preparation of statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and other statutory documents. Working closely with clients, offering informative and relevant advice with regards to internal control systems and processes. Providing support in business and tax planning arrangements. Identifying new service lines opportunities for existing clients. Undertaking ad-hoc project or consultancy work. Suggesting areas for efficiency and improvement within the firm. Liaising with other departments when necessary. Developing technical knowledge.
Requirements:
You must hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent); You must have well developed interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with your peers, and client staff at management and director level. You must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to delivering a high quality service to our clients. You must have relevant IT skills for the role. You should have experience of working with clients in both the private and public sectors. You should hold a full driving licence and have use of a vehicle with which to travel to client premises Where necessary you should be willing to commit to limited periods working away from home
