Job Description
Reporting to the Regulatory Reporting Manager within the Group Finance team, the remit of this role covers insurance accounting, asset and investment reporting and regulatory reporting, monitoring and analysis. Ref: 49991 * Location: Cardiff * Category: Insurance * Type: Permanent Overview Key Duties: * Assist with the technical insurance accounting for the Group's underwriting entities across the UK, Europe and US in line with IFRS * Prepare Management Information packs for the Group and subsidiary boards as well as the Group's Investment and Risk Committees * Review and process treasury returns from the Group's subsidiaries and investment holding reports from external fund managers * Reconcile asset reporting to accounting results and proactively research differences, working with colleagues in multiple locations * Provide solvency reporting input to regular monthly Management Information prepared by the Group Finance team for the Group and subsidiary boards Qualifications required: * Recently qualified in a recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA) Experience required: * Self-motivated, proactive with a can-do attitude towards work * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships * Strong task management skills including an ability to prioritise tasks and regularly manage multiple deliverables * Strong Microsoft Excel skills * Strong numeracy and analytical skills * Good knowledge of financial controls and exposure to data quality assurance processes
