Job Specification
The key responsibilities for this role as a Trainee Accountant will be:
Book Keeping
Processing invoices, expenses, sales to accounting software packages (SAGE, Xero, MS Excel)
Reconciling bank accounts
Calculating and submitting VAT returns
Accounts Preparation/Tax
Assisting in the preparation of accounts from a variety of source records ranging from a box of invoices to a fully reconciled Trial Balance provided by the client.
Analysis of the individual transactions
Calculation of accruals and prepayments
Adherence to generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards
Tax computations
Profile
The successful candidate for this position will have/be:
A keen eye for detail
Well organised
Ability to prioritise workload to ensure strict deadlines are met
Enthusiastic with a passion for accounting
A confident communicator
Computer literate - especially in Excel
Full training and development will be provided
