Financial Accountant Norwich
My client is a medium sized, leading bespoke machinery manufacturer based in Norwich. Due to continued success they have a new opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will come form a small/medium practice with a passion for \"Pure Accounting\" but with an energy and enthusiasm to do a little more than just this remit. The successful candidate will report to the Financial Controller but be responsible for supervisory the ledger areas.
Key Performance Indicators will include:
On time, accurate completion of month end, year-end and budgetary timetables for areas of responsibility Management of ledger team KPI's in line with Finance FBP Accurate on time submission of compliance returns Maintained integrity of balance sheet
Key Accountabilities
Complete accurate, on time financials for defined areas of responsibility Ensure accurate, timely submission of defined compliance and statistical returns Complete statutory financials review for defined entities Responsible for the activities of the Norwich ledger team Be a key driver of process innovation in areas of responsibility
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Overview Engagement with department vision, cascading delivery through areas of responsibility Drive innovation and automation of processes Deliver process change and training to the wider organisation in areas of responsibility Business partner with internal stakeholders, both finance and non-finance to provide collaborative support
Statutory and Compliance Preparation, review and commentary for defined entity financials On time, accurate submission of compliance returns Statutory and compliance support to FC / DoF for ROW Maintain current knowledge of accounting standards relevant to SIL (reports under FRS102) Technical accounting support to the team and wider business Ensure accuracy of balance sheet and transactional processing through effective internal controls Working with external audit and tax teams in specific areas of responsibility Preparation of US tax footnotes Work with global entity finance individuals to support monthly and year end processes Accurate preparation of budgets and forecasts for defined areas of responsibility Preparation of accurate monthly reporting Financial interrogation and analysis as required Work with Management Accountant to manage timetables, including ROW entities
Ledger Responsible for the activities of the Norwich ledger team Responsible for the training and development of the ledger team Management and high level reporting of ledger KPI's Co-ordinate the preparation and presentation of regional credit management processes Delivery of requirements to treasury function in line with agreed practice Review and update of ledger policies Review and approval of commission statements Cover for critical ledger functions in times of absence
Person Specification The ideal candidate will be part qualified/qualified ACA/ACCA and will have experience working within a deadline driven environment. You will have proven supervisor skills and have experience with financial statement preparation and Financial statement preparation
