BPS World is the recruitment partner for a global private equity firm who own and operate 75 independent and international schools around the world with 40+ schools in the UK.

We are seeking to appoint a School Business Manager who is a reliable, enthusiastic and organised individual to work in a growing multi-site independent school group.

As the School Business Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Heads to deliver and improve the financial and commercial aspects of the school's business agenda. This multi-site role is also responsible for the management of the school's finance function; ensuring compliant and up-to-date contracts are in place with parents and other third parties while management of data protection across the schools.

Key responsibilities:

* Support each school's SLT and work collaboratively with Head & Deputy Heads

* Contribute to the development of the school's values and vision and communicate this clearly and enthusiastically to all staff and other stakeholders

* Planning strategic growth activities and manage organisational development

* Responsible for line management of the Finance Team

* Effective reporting, forecasting and budgeting. Produce and agree on schools' profit and loss reporting and budgeting including pupil numbers, fees, staffing and costs

* Manage month-end timetable to ensure delivery of group reporting requirement

* Support Estates & Facilities Team as necessary to enable them to actively manage the financial and operational aspects of the school's facilities and service contracts

As the ideal candidate, you will possess the following experience:

* Management experience including strong financial, commercial and accounting skills

* Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) is preferred

* Budget preparation and management

* IT literate with experience using financial systems and MS Office

* Experience managing a team & supporting multi-site environment including a number of departments as well as finance

* Experience working in a school environment would be beneficial
