Assistant Accountant Congleton & Manchester Based
£27,000 - £31,000 a year Assistant Accountant Full Study Support Offered Onsite Parking Offered
Our client is a growing and exciting business who are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant in a newly created role due to company growth. My client are seeking a committed candidate who is versatile, ambitious and most importantly can work with in a team
towards a shared goal.
The successful candidate will ideally be part qualified CIMA or ACCA or studying towards the qualification. This position will initially be based in Congleton and potentially may move to Manchester so it's a must you have the ability to get to both locations
with your own form of transport.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of accruals, prepayments, and journals Perform balance sheet reconciliations (bank and control accounts) Daily banking and Cash book Vat returns Stock reconciliations Accounts payable Ensure accounts are completed to deadlines and in accordance with the policies and procedures Complete ad hoc work as required e.g. year-end analysis Proactively identify areas for improvement and contribute towards a culture of continuous improvement
Experience:
Previous, proven experience in the day to day duties Studying towards CIMA /ACCA or similar Good knowledge of Excel is required Confident and accurate written and verbal communication skills Proven team player Desire to learn and develop skills with ability to be versatile and take on any challenges faced with changes.
