Assistant Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Hays Finance team as an Assistant Accountant. Your new company Hays is the leading global specialist recruitment group and we've been in business for over 40 years. We operate out of over 270 offices in 33 countries. This is a newly created position within the Finance team due to our continued success in the Irish market. Your new role You will be working closely with the rest of the finance team, dealing with Accounts Payable processing, bank reconciliations, prepayments and accruals, assisting with payroll, liaising with the credit control team, assisting with internal and external audits, assisting with weekly invoice runs and various other ad hoc duties as required. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, previous experience in a high volume, fast-paced accounts role is essential. Ideally you will be coming from an SME background and have worked in positions which have given you exposure to a broad range of finance functions. You will also be studying towards an ACCA qualification. Strong Excel skills are essential (V-Lookups, pivot tables, etc.).
