A critical role to play where you will be play a key part in managing the day to day running the of the organisation. The successful transactions manager will be managing a team of 6 reporting directly to the Head of Transactional Accounting. The team will be accountable for the administrative support provided to the credit and purchase ledger teams to enable the efficient payment of invoices and effective recovery of debt

Description
The main responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining positive and service focused relationships with internal stakeholders including the Credit Control and Purchase Ledger Managers
- Accountability for recruiting high calibre colleagues, providing; training and cross-training coaching and feedback to team members, communicating team and business goals, monitoring team metrics and performance and managing all employee issues and queries within the team
- Developing and managing improvement projects to advance the efficiency or customer service of the team or to improve debt collection and payables
- Determining appropriate key performance indicators, measuring team performance against these, developing communication strategies for internal stakeholders and undertaking regular reviews to drive improvements
- Managing team workload and development to ensure that invoice creation, invoice sending, issuing of credit notes and the allocation of cash is undertaken promptly and accurately
- Creating, maintaining and updating all standard templates and documentation used by the transaction's teams
- Reporting trends and developments escalating as appropriate
- Managing all transactional documentation, records, filing and archiving
- Providing office services including stationery monitoring and ordering
- Any other ad hoc duties which from time to time are required by the business
Profile
The successful candidate should have:
- Experience within Credit Control and Accounts Payable
- Proficient use of IT and financial packages
- The ability to meet deadlines
- Team management experience
- A strong appetite for change and continuous improvement
- The ability to confidently discuss overdue payment
- AAT/CICM Qualified (desirable)
