You will be responsible for statutory reporting (financial, direct and indirect taxation), internal management reporting, maintaining the ledger, payments processing, cash applications and accounts payable. You will be intrinsic to the preparation of the Group's financial reporting and will play a key role in the identification and implementation of improvements to accounting systems and processes. Salary £40,000 - £50,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Thames Valley / SE Eng KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Completion of monthly consolidation and reporting. Account substantiation and reconciliation. Posting intercompany transactions. Statutory accounts preparation. Liaising with external auditors. Maintain the books and records to support the Group's securitization facility. Ensuring financial statements are technically correct and in accordance with UK GAAP. Working with external providers to assist in the preparation and submission of the corporate tax returns. Preparation of VAT returns. Assist in preparation of current and deferred tax disclosures. Providing support to the Controller for ad hoc tasks and projects as well as contributing to team effort to assist co-workers as needed to balance workloads. Suggesting innovative changes to processes with the aim of increasing efficiency within the team. Seek out methods and practices to minimise financial risk. PERSON SPECIFICATION: Qualified accountant with strong financial accounting skillset, preferably ACA/ACCA. Understanding and experience with leasing accounting standards. Experience in group consolidation accounting. Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data. Experienced with general ledger software packages, first hand knowledge with Sage would be an advantage. Knowledge of direct and indirect taxation for leasing companies would be a major advantage. Strong MS Office skills. Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
