Investigo are recruiting for a Management Accountant, working with a well established Travel business backed by an International reputable and popular business.
Responsibilities:
- Management accounts produced on time and reviewed to highlight variances to budget/forecast; to include accruals, prepayments, analysis of accounts and key P&L reconciliations - Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed and issues are highlighted, investigated and actioned in a timely manner - Hold regular aged creditor/debtor meetings and ensure aged items are investigated and cleared in a timely manner - Support the production of annual budget/quarterly forecasts - Accurate identification of P&L risks/opportunities that may affect forecasts - Liaise with internal and external auditors & provide accurate and timely information - Queries dealt with, quickly and effeciently - Identify inefficient processes and where possible propose changes - Participate in ad hoc process improvement projects - Assist in preparation of VAT and other regulatory returns - Prepare and agree intercompany reconciliations - Weekly monitoring and reporting of unmatched ledger entries - Review purchase ledger invoice coding
Skills/Experience
- Qualifications
Either CIMA, ACCA or AAT Part Qualified - 2 + years working in a busy Finance department - Working within the Travel industry is desirable - Experience working within high volume business - Excellent degree of accuracy and attention to detail - Efficient communication and negotiation skills - Ability to work to strict deadlines - Intermediate to advanced Excel skills - Experience using SAGE - Self motivated and able to self manage
