2 X General Ledger Accountant

2 X General Ledger Accountants - Sale - Perm - £30-35K per annum plus benefits We are currently recruiting for 2 X General Ledger Accountants to work for an national business based in Sale. This role would be suited to ACCA/CIMA qualified candidates or those qualified by experience. Experience of JSOX is highly desirable. DUTIES: * Nominal ledger reconciliations * Preparation and posting of prepayments and accruals journals * Inter-company account control * Cashbook transactions * Accurate management of and reporting on fixed asset register and depreciation schedules * VAT reconciliation and HMRC reporting * Preparation of monthly accounts to P&L and Balance Sheet * Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts * Reconciliation of control accounts * Preparation and posting of monthly closing journals * Processing of ad-hoc general journals * Monthly or quarterly detailed reporting and forecasting on certain SG&A line items * Multi-currency transactions and balance sheet revaluations * Closing and revaluation of ledgers * Dutch subsidiary preparation of accounts to P&L and Balance Sheet * Assisting with the consolidation of accounts and reporting pack * Assisting with weekly Flash reporting * Assisting with the accounts payable function when required * Providing assistance to the Financial Controller * Assisting with strategic initiatives * Any other duties as required SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Strong communication skills * Strong skills and advanced knowledge of Excel * Ability to liaise with people at all levels within the business * Organized and methodical in approach with keen attention to details * Ability to prioritise workloads * Works well both autonomously and as part of a team * Qualified by experience or part ACCA/CIMA qualified Please apply without delay as there is a deadline with this role.
