My client is looking to recruit a Head of UK Finance & Accounting to join their business - this is a newly created position due to impressive growth following acquisitions and new contracts. This is an excellent opportunity for a current Senior Finance Manager to step up and add value in an exciting business.
Client Details
The business specialises in consulting within property and construction and boasts an enviable portfolio. They have a presence in the Nordics, North America, Continental Europe, Middle East and India.
However they are currently focusing attention and investment into their UK division as this is an exciting growth-area for the business - hence the need to bring in someone to oversee UK from a financial point of view.
Description
Managing all month end closing responsibilities making sure all deliverable met to deadline in UK Finance & Accounting, Regional Finance & Accounting centre.
Responsibility for UK VAT and Corporation tax compliance and overseas tax involvement as required (includes branches and overseas subs)
Responsible year end reporting, including managing the audit and statutory accounts completion, review and approval
Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations completed to deadline and appropriate actions taken.
Provide UK Time & Expenses expenditure analysis to ensure compliance and manage cost
Responsible for all UK support functions monthly cost control reporting & analysis including managing UK stakeholders and working collaboratively with group global support functions
Manage cash flow forecasting, weekly and monthly reporting, headroom and exposure including FX exposure. Manage relationship with UK and group treasury and controlling banking access and approving local bank payments
Responsible for monthly working capital reporting and all balance sheet analysis
Driving continuous improvement working with global counterparts
Monitoring performance and effectiveness of the Service Centre and driving continuous improvement
Member of the global Finance & Accounting management team driving global process standardisation and optimisation
Supporting the Financial Director with analysis required for Board /other meetings
Providing ad hoc financial support and analysis as required including projects to the UK Business
Profile
ACA/ACCA /CIMA (PQE - Statutory accounts & UK tax experience essential )
Experience of group, statutory, working capital, and cash flow reporting
Staff Management
Strong excel & PowerPoint skills
Strong ERP skills

Self-starter, able to problem solve and find solutions

Job Offer
Salary offered is between £70,000 and £80,000 (+ additional benefits)
