Assistant Management Accountant

We are working with an international travel company based on the outskirts of Chester to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team on a 6 month contract. This temporary role could be extended for a longer period of time for the right candidate.

Description

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, you will be responsible for all monthly reporting, cash flow and other duties will include:

• Preparing the monthly management accounts within agreed time frames

• Review profit and loss and taking full ownership of balance sheet reconciliations

• Posting journals, accruals and prepayments

• Daily reconciliation of the company's bank accounts

• Cash forecasting on a daily basis

• Supporting and playing a key role in developing systems and improving current processes

Profile

For the Assistant Management Accountant role, you must have the following skills and experience:

• Solid academic background and ideally enrolled to start or studying CIMA / ACCA / ACA

• Strong technical accounting knowledge with understanding of debits and credits

• Strong systems / IT skills, especially Excel

• Able to work under pressure and demonstrable experience of working in a fast paced environment
