Financial Controller

Reporting into the Financial Director, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Controller which will require the individual to be hands-on and work closely with the business. The role will suit an individual looking to develop their skills into a Financial Controller role, with clear progression within the business.

A well established and growing Manufacturing business based in Yate who are also part of a wider Global Organisation.

Description

• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
  
• Assist in preparation of annual statutory accounts.
  
• Assist in preparation of annual budget.
• Maintenance of company Fixed Asset register.
• Maintenance of systems to support the preparation of Quarterly VAT returns.
• Maintain costing system and records.
• Prepare product/customer profitability reports and advise.
• Ensure the record keeping of the company stock system are maintained in order to have accurate records and valuations.
• Co-ordinate annual stock-takes.
• Provide information to meet the needs of the Directors, Managers and departments of both the Yate site and group and assist in the enquiry into means of productivity and profitability improvement.
• Prepare timely and detailed cash forecasts on a weekly/monthly basis for inclusion into group forecasting requirements.
• Oversee daily operations of the finance department.
• Advise on Vat and other taxation issues
• Assist in development of manual and computer systems as required.
• Ensure compliance with all Government reporting requirements.
• Advise and liaise on issues relative to site and group financial issues.
• Support the preparation of all requirements for the annual financial audits at the Yate site and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
• Ensure that all Group and site rules and timetables for the production of information are met.
• Deputise for Finance Director

Profile

The ideal candidate will be Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA. A self starter, technically strong, dynamic, commercially astute and team oriented.

The right Financial Controller for the position will:

• A Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Have experience within a manufacturing environment
