Financial Controller Financial Controller A unique opportunity for a Financial Controller to work for a global construction consultancy based in Birmingham The Company The Financial Controller will join a leading multi-disciplined construction consultancy, with a network that covers the globe and a heritage spanning over two centuries. This is a leading provider of cost management, quantity surveying, project management and advisory services. The Role The Financial Controller will effectively manage and control the financial accounting operations of the company, including a substantial amount of team management. * Take responsibility for ensuring that the financial processes, systems and controls are operating effectively * Maintaining the statutory records for the business * Preparation of all consolidated Statutory Accounts * Developing management accounts procedures and responsibilities * Budget and Quarterly Forecast preparation for Property and Central Services * Management accounts preparation for Property and Central Services * Overall responsibility for the preparation of the consolidated company monthly management reports * Ownership for the preparation and recording of Balance Sheet accounting * Responsibility of treasury function - cash flow management of the company * Managing transactional team and overseeing / reviewing sales ledger, purchase ledger, payroll, cash posting and all general ledger entries * Handling VAT, PAYE and Tax duties, including corporation tax * Liaise with auditors and preparing audit packs * Project management of process changes and implementations * Responsible for the management and supervision of the accounts processing team * Responsible for establishing and developing monthly workload cycles * Responsible for maintaining and enforcing a documented system of accounting policies and procedures * Responsible for the career development of staff The Person The successful Financial Controller must be ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent * Exceptional staff management background * Excellent communicator * Proven ability of working under pressure * Strong IT skills * Project management * Minimum of five years' experience at Financial Controller level In return The Financial Controller will benefit from * Up to £55,000 * 25 days annual leave * Pension * Health care * Life Assurance * Gym Membership * Employee Assistance Scheme If you are a Financial Controller looking for a great move, please contact Abbie Espanhol at Brandon James: Financial Controller / CIMA / ACCA / ACA / Statutory Accounts / Financial Reporting / VAT / PAYE / TAX REF: AE5802FC
