Job Description
Your new company A fantastic Professional Services company based in Stockport are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their fast paced and dynamic finance team. You will play an integral part in the day to day smooth running of the accounts department. Your new role Reporting directly into the Finance Manager your duties as Assistant Accountant will include but not be limited to: Assisting the Finance Manager with month-end procedures, Accruals and prepayments, Prepare and post journals, balance sheet reconciliations, Inter-company reconciliations, Assisting with year-end accounts preparation and any other ad-hoc duties the Finance Manager requires assistance with. What you'll need to succeed You will have experience within a similar role and ideally be studying towards a relevant finance qualification AAT/CIMA/ACCA, you will need to have previous experience of using the Sage accounting system, be able to work off your own initiative as well as part of a team, have strong verbal and written communication skills and feel comfortable communicating at all levels and be proficient in all Microsoft Packages especially Excel.
