EU Business Analyst

Job description: EU Cost Analyst My client an International manufacturing business based in Gloucester has set the goal of sustaining a world-class level of performance and we are looking for the right candidate with a high motivation and ambitious drive to join our Business Finance team. Responsibilities Active engagement in Site Leadership, providing input and challenge both at site level and beyond finance, aimed at value add and ensuring Internal Financial Control framework, taking account of (the Site's) wider business context.Engage with Functional Team to pro-actively share and apply knowledge and prepare for future advancement.Support Operations and Site Management to meet site visions. Drive understanding of scorecard site performance; hold sites accountable for cost performance; monitor and comment on site internal financial controls.Monitor International site's consumption ratios and compliance with Duty Drawback obligations.Support and advise on decision economics.Stewards for site investment and optimisation of capital employed. Requirements Demonstrated ability to challenge Status Quo in an international environment.Strong IT and ERP skills including proficiency in MS Office (or equivalent), SAP (PE2) and BI capability.Management Accounting in a multi-site manufacturing organisation.At least 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance function.Self-starter with hands-on mentality and ability to work autonomously.Ability to focus on detail and accuracy, as well as understanding the bigger picture.Good communicator, able to explain complex technical accounting to non-accounting customers in an easy way.Good problem solving, analytical thinking, decision-making and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.Experience of performing statistical analysis of data sets.Proven ability to work to tight deadlines.Fluent in English in writing and speaking.
