the Food Manufacturing business. Assistant Financial Controller - About the role You will ensure the finance team provides timely and accurate financial information covering all areas of the business. Duties will include: Ownership of the month end reporting process Develop appropriate financial controls and improve financial processes across the business Provide timely and accurate internal and external reporting Assist with the provision of cost information for tender submission and quotations Review, investigate and present variances between actual manufacturing costs and standard costs Lead budgeting and forecasting processes Partner with the operations leadership team to improve productivity and results Manage monthly/quarterly reporting and forecasting, present/communicate risks and opportunities Ensure manufacturing bills of materials are based on up to date standard cost information Ensure stock adjustments are valid and approved in accordance with company policy Ensure stock reports are maintained to provide information to measure performance Support development of Annual Operating Plan Assisting with ad hoc project work Develop strong relationships across the whole business to enable more accurate reporting Manage a team and oversee the day to day operations Liaise and challenge key decision makers across the business Assistant Financial Controller - Candidate requirements: Degree educated, ACCA/CIMA accounting qualification Previous manufacturing experience is essential Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop sound working relationships with all levels of staff Advanced Excel skills Assistant Financial Controller - Benefits: Competitive salary Pension Scheme This is a truly outstanding role at an exciting time in the company's growth.
