Our client, a leading housing provider is currently recruiting a Finance Analyst to provide a professional management accounting and financial support service to relevant business divisions, directorates and functions. This is a Fixed Term Contract, lasting
6 months. As the Finance Analyst you will be responsible for: Assisting in the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, reconciliations and other management information, along with associated analysis and explanation of the underlying business drivers for the relevant budget holders Supporting relevant budget holders in the production of their annual budget submissions, ensuring they are accurate and in accordance with wider business targets Ensuring the budget submissions are in accordance with relevant timelines and submission criteria Support relevant budget holders in the production of their quarterly forecast submissions, ensuring they are accurate and reasonable. Also ensuring the forecast submissions are in accordance with relevant timelines and submission criteria Providing excellent customer service in delivering financial support, insight, business partnering and challenge Assisting with the management of key contract compliance activities e Coordinating and liaising with wider Finance teams in ensuring they provide an excellent service to relevant divisions, directorates and/or functions Assisting in the collective responsibility in ensuring appropriate financial processes, controls and safeguards are implemented, operating effectively and continuously improved Collaborating with wider Finance teams in ensuring source transaction postings to the accounts are accurate, timely and efficient Preparing and submitting regulatory, statutory and contractual data returns The successful candidate for the role of Finance Analyst will have: Double entry accounting and basic balance sheet management Clear and professional report writing for non-finance readers Excellent Excel and data manipulation skills Ability to understand the impact of business decisions on finances Confidence to explain complex issues simply to stakeholders Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, resulting in building of excellent relationships and trust Flexibility to undertake wide range of roles and responsibilities Qualification or Part-qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA / CA graduate calibre finance professional In return the Finance Analyst will receive a basic salary of £24,000 - £28,000pa depending on experience.
