Reed Accountancy Leicester have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Finance Manager to join an existing team based in Leicestershire. Client : One of the leading manufacturers for the Aviation industry. Specialising in manufacturing complex metal components and products for critical industrial application. Role : Assistant Finance Manager Reporting to : Finance Manager Salary : £35,000 - £40,000 Responsibilities: Implementation of daily KPI monitors for the finance team and corrective action plans for measures off target To provide an effective financial / management accounting service which meets the needs of the business whilst ensuring compliance with Statutory and PCC accounting procedures and demands Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly accounts within three working days of the period end Responsible for reconciling balance sheet accounts, ensuring that back up documentation is also complete Explanation of variances from plan and implementation of corrective actions where applicable Responsible for the financial accounting and management of subsidiary organisation. This may require occasional visits to the site Assist with the preparation and submission of quarterly forecasts and rolling monthly forecasts Responsibility for the preparation & submission of accurate and timely VAT returns, IPR returns and other government returns and statistics Assistance with the timely preparation of annual budgets Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory financial accounts including liaison with the Company's Auditors Assist the SOX Co-ordinator in the maintenance of the SOX control requirement for the business Responsible for ensuring all PCC policies are complied with, without exception Facilitate and promote financial awareness throughout the Company Review of daily cash monitoring & cash flow forecast reports To assist the manufacturing managers to analyse and justify requirement for new capital equipment, changes in working practices etc Person Specification: ACCA/CIMA qualified / finalist with demonstrable relevant experience Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment Driven and adaptable to change Ability to work as part of a team Good communication, teamwork and leadership skills Educated to a high standard; preferably a degree in a relevant subject Company Benefits 1) Quarterly Bonus based on company performance for the quarter 2) Pension contribution - Auto Enrol 3% employees- Company matches up to 5% 3) 25 days annual holiday + bank holidays 4) Training & Development opportunities (The company are good at supporting people with courses internally and externally) 5) Onsite OHA service 6) Flexible working with an early finish on a Friday (Business needs depending of course) 7) Social committee providing reduced events such as seaside/London trips If you'd like to take advantage of this exciting opportunity then please click ' apply ' today, we'd love to hear from you!
