For Our client - major multinational production and distribution company with growing operations in Poland – we are looking for an experienced candidate for the role of Chief Accountant. This individual will be fully responsible for managing the company's financial accounting operations.
Working on this position, the Candidate will be responsible for leading and managing full accounting operations including the supervision of a team of accountants, prepare financial statements according to Polish Accounting Standards, IFRS, ensure that chart of accounts are in line with accounting standards, group controlling standards and legal requirements and supervise and monitor the entire accounting process including general ledger, accounts payables, accounts receivables, inventory, fixed assets and cash management. What is more, the perfect Candidate will be held responsible for preparing tax reports (VAT, CIT), work closely with controlling team to prepare cyclical budgets and forecasts. The duties also include responsibility for manage, develop, coach, and recruit operational team of accountants, maintaining relationships with third parties including financial institutions, auditors, tax authorities, etc and proactively work on improving accounting process and take an active role on bringing positive change into the organization.
The successful Candidate should have minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting, including at least 1 year of managerial experience, a finance or accounting degree or the equivalent knowledge acquired in whatever way and a significant experience of accounting within international company, as well as be fluent in English. ACCA or other financial qualification is a big plus. You should also have an excellent knowledge of commercial and tax laws, ability to prepare tax reports CIT and VAT and understands key business drivers and proactively seeks out opportunities and recommends solutions that can be effectively supported.
