We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a top ten national house builder in the Guildford area.

6 Month fixed term contact, with the possibility of a permanent position upon the completion of contract.

The role will be working within a team of six reporting to the Financial Controller. The successful candidate will join a busy accounting team where you can develop previous experience.

The ideal candidate should be ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified or in the final stages. You should be experienced in bookkeeping and able to provide timely and accurate accounting information.

The role responsibilities but not limited too:

Prepare and submit for review weekly sales and build information to the management team and Division liaising closely with Sales and Build Directors and their teams. Assist in maintaining plot and site level data on Hyperion Planning to ensure accurate forecast data working closely with FD/FC and Commercial Department. Prepare and input month end journals on Oracle/Coins to ensure trial balance is prepared in line with group Financial Policies. Prepare and input project ledger journals on Oracle/Coins to ensure site margins are struck correctly. Input into monthly inter company Joint Ventures - Full responsibility SPV Reporting to include Cashflows/drawdowns/Loan interest calculations/Board paper preparation/Co Sec assistance/Interaction with JV Clients Ensure sales ledger invoicing is prepared and input correctly. Oversee sales extra billing Support the FD and FC in the monthly preparation of the 3 year rolling forecasts. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation for review with FC including maintenance provision analysis, cost of sales analysis, closed site projections & PX profit analysis. Prepare monthly finance reporting pack for review with FC. Evaluate and advise in regard to the financial impact of the introduction of new programs, strategies and systems and in particular to omptimise the use of Coins. Full involvement with the migration onto the new Coins system. Ad Hoc tasks for FC/FC Qualifications and Experience:

ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified or in the final stage. Understanding and exposure of preparation for both Statutory and Management Accounts. Oracle / Coins experience would be beneficial but any candidate must have strong book-keeping skills used to working closely with other departments. Previous experience of housebuilding, construction and manufacturing or with experience of working with a project ledger would be advantageous. Should have advanced Excel skills and be a self-starter able to provide timely and accurate information If you are able to work in a team, be enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and work alongside senior management and with internal and external stakeholders then i am keen to hear from you.
