That's where you come in...
The Group Financial Controller will be responsible for preparing information on the financial results and direction of the Business and undertaking analysis to help with strategic financial planning. There will also be a significant operational focus with the need to understand the business drivers. For that reason, we are looking for someone with business partnering skills. The position will have responsibility for leading and managing a Finance team (currently 4 people), so strong man management is important.
Reporting to the CFO you will be tasked with the following:
Develop an effective finance function that is able to anticipate key challenges facing the business. Oversee the day-to-day accounting function. Tight control of the company's cash position and effective management of their cash-flow. You will be expected to produce a detailed weekly cash update for the CEO & CFO. Management of debtors: This will involve chasing money directly as well as managing the process by which members of the finance function achieve this. Responsible for managing and monitoring all budgeting and forecasting. Production of management, quarterly and annual accounts. Production of financial statements and related information for the group and subsidiaries on a monthly basis under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Lead contact for the external auditors during audit process. Provide commentary on budget vs actual. Revenue analysis / gross margin analysis. Deputise for the CFO. Keep on top of tax issues. What you will need:
At least one years' experience working as a Financial Controller or you could be ready for your next step up to a Financial Controller. Qualified ACA / ACCA / ACMA / CIMA. Experience of working in a rapid growth environment. Management experience that demonstrates an ability to nurture talent. Excellent Sage and MS Office skills. Strong technical finance and accounting experience. Group consolidation and reporting experience. Dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills. Understanding of latest accounting standards, including expertise in IFRS15. Benefits
Our client likes to make sure their employees are well looked after. That's why within their employment contract they offer a variety of perks. With them, you'll have (in addition to your salary) a generous pension scheme, free gourmet lunches, a huge bundle of high street discounts, gym membership savings, access to medical support if needed, and more
